Pastor Adeboye says "We Will Defend Ourselves, Churches, Homes..."

Pastor Adeboye says "We Will Defend Ourselves, Churches, Homes..."

Most people have been waiting to hear from the highly respected man of God Pasto Enoch Adeboye on nascent killings of Christians by the so called “Islamic group” Boko Haram. Several Pastors and preachers have been expressing themselves on this matter but Pastor Adeboye of Redeemed Christian Church of God has been silent about it for some time now.

At last! Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has broken his silence over the incessant attack on Christians, their homes and places of worship by the Boko Haram, an Islamic sect in the North Eastern part of the country.

Several homes and churches had been burnt and Christians have been killed in their hundreds by the sect and the most unforgettable one was the attack on the worshippers at a Roman Catholic Church in Mandalla, Niger state where no fewer than 48 lives have been confirmed dead.

The Cleric,  who is the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has read a Riot Act to the sect warning its members to stop attacking  Christians, their homes and churches or face the consequences. “We are not allowed to burn mosques or kill people of other religious beliefs but d Bible says we are allowed to Defend ourselves, churches, homes. ‘Be gentle as a dove but Wise as a Serpent’", Adeboye posted on his Face Book wall yesterday.
This position tallies with the resolve of the Christian leaders in the North who met recently in Abuja where they vowed never to attack anyone but tasked their members to defend themselves, their homes and the churches against any further attack.

At the meeting a fire-spitting cleric (name withheld) whose church is located in Area One, Abuja was asked to teach on the position of the Bible on religious intolerance.
The Pastor, according to an eye witness, took his audience from the Old Testament to the New where he cited how Christians were able to defend themselves against any unprovoked attack.
“We need to remind these murderers that Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, is both the Lamb of God who took away our sins and the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is the Lamb to us but Lion against our foes. And more importantly, the roaring of a lion is purposely for the territorial protection. We used to run before but henceforth we run no more,” the Pastor declared.

“We used to run away before but henceforth we would stand to defend ourselves, our families and the church of God against any attack. No religion has a monopoly of violence. They were asking us to quit the North, to where? Do they think all the Christians in the North are non-indigenes? We are going nowhere, every church has been asked to provide adequate security to its members during the hours of worship and they leaders were charged to protect their families wherever they are located, “the Abuja based pastor who was at the meeting disclosed.

Shocking But True: A Popular Nollywood Actress was raped in a hotel in Asaba

Shocking But True: A Popular Nollywood Actress was raped in a hotel in Asaba

This may be shocking to your hearing but it happened to a careless big name actress in Nigeria. According to a reliable source, the popular actress moved from Lagos to Asaba for a film location where she was to play a role for a movie as usual. How come she was raped? How did it happen? Was it in a movie? Read on to find out the true story of how she was raped.
This popular Nollywood actress was going to act in a movie about to be shot and walked into a party being thrown by a colleague in the film industry for his birthday.

The popular Nollywood actress from the South-East was said to have been in and out of several marriages, being a party freak and one addicted to Alcohol and Cigarette gently checked into a hotel, dropped her luggage and quickly hopped into the party arena.
She, as a star, was hailed and welcomed by almost all present as she stepped in with style. No sooner had she come in that she started in her usual style to start "condemning" bottles of beer and burning cigarettes.

The spirit was high and made higher and higher by the avant-garde music, later vibes issuing out from the mounted speakers. Like one who doesn't know how to drink but loves drinking, she got drunk and managed to stagger to her hotel room, where she laid sprawled in the bed without remembering to lock her door with the key.

A waka pass up-coming actor who was at the party too canvassing for roles and trying to locate the room allocated to him and 3 other boys mistakenly opened the room and the popular actress was laying spread eagled. What greeted his eyes was something he could not resist.

Gently, it was gathered, he went in locked the door and settled for the actress with inviting voluptuous curves. The joy of having it off with an actress, super one at that, an actress he never knew if he was even qualified to touch her pants.

The boy, with un-staggering determination went in and had it off roughly with the actress, whom we are told was exquisitely groaning as the rough drivers of an up-coming actor rammed into her groove. She woke up much more later to discover that a great battle had been fought in her "forested groove", by some unknown soldiers and her door, not locked.
It is now talk of the town, as the boys still basking in the euphoria of catching a big fish.

Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon and His 'Grammatology' Again

Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon and His 'Grammatology' Again

Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon Grammar session:

This is one of his many grammar session in the recent times. Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon speaks 'gigantic grammar' on the removal of fuel subsidy. He speaks and I quote:

"I have read with acatalectic disgust, governments asinine and puerile ratiocinations attempting to justiceate the proposed removal of subsidies from petroleum products. It has asseverated that it’s intentions is guided by the need to checkmate the odoriferous excesses of a machiavellian and mephistophelean cabal and i have said to myself, what a shame? What a self indicting admittal of the failure of governance? What anhocus-pocus? What an anathematous disdain for it’s citizenry?

Must the people now bear the brunt for governments ineptitude, inefficiency and pusillanimity in squaring up with these economic philistines and fat cows? I feel even more nauseated and vexed that the Governors Forum has posthaste conferred an apocalyptic imprimatur on this genie. Let’s not forget that majority of these same Governors had earlier called for this state of affairs as a condition sinequanon for paying the minimum wage. What an opprobrium? What a deprecable descent from the sublime to the ridiculous? It’s up to us all to put this Presidential and Gubernatorial genie back into the bottle but are we prepared?”

What is your comment please?

Fuel Prices Cut Down to N97 After Nationwide Strike And Protests in Nigeria (NLC Says No)

Fuel Prices Cut Down After Nationwide Strike And Protests in Nigeria

The Nigerian federal Government after massive protests by the Citizens, cuts down the prices of fuel to N97 from the recent hiked price. The announcement to this effect was made today Monday by President Goodluck Jonathan himself. "Given the hardships being suffered by Nigerians, and after consideration and consultations with state governors and the leadership of the National Assembly, (the) government has approved the reduction of the pump price of petrol to 97 nairas (60 cents) a liter," Jonathan said in his broadcast.

The President commanded all Government workers to return to work, or they risk losing their jobs. NLC and TUC Leaders say the strike continues but encouraged people to be in their house and not gather for protest for now. This is said for security reasons. They insist that the price of fuel should be taken back to N65 per liter.

The federal government in response to the stand of the Unions had however sets out Force men to the streets of strategic areas in some states where people have been gathering together for protest.

"Occupy Nigeria", the theme for the nationwide strike in Africa's most populous nation continues till further notice. We shall update you here about the ongoing saga in the Country.

Nigerians in London Cry For Change Over The Removal of Fuel Subsidy

Nigerians in London Cry For Change Over The Removal of Fuel Subsidy

Nigerians Citizens living in London protested against the recent removal of fuel subsidy in front of the Nigerian Embassy in over there. This was done in solidarity with family and friends back at home. “The implication of this fuel subsidy is that our people at home we suffer more while what we send to them will not be enough for them. We have to tighten our belts the more here so as to get more money and send home. Enough is enough.” Said one of the protesters in Uk.

Removal Of Fuel Subsidy: Nigeria strike over fuel Subsidy Removal Continues on Monday Confirmed by NLC

Removal Of Fuel Subsidy: Nigeria strike over fuel Subsidy Removal Continues on Monday Confirmed by NLC

Even as Nigerians await the result of the meeting of President Goodluck Jonathan and the 26 Governors of different States joined by the Senate President in his residence today, NLC (Nigeria Labour Congress) and TUC (Trade Union Congress) confirmed and announced to Nigerian citizens that the nationwide protest against the fuel subsidy removal continues tomorrow Monday. This declaration comes due to the fact that the negotiations with the federal government over the weekend failed. For about 5 hours, the NLC and TUC representatives met in a closed door with government representatives and the President himself over the weekend. It is rather unfortunate that the meeting ended in a deadlock.

The protest began on 9th January over spiraling gasoline prices following the removal of an estimated $8 billion in fuel subsidies in Nigeria. The unions said they want the government to return prices to the subsidized price, though the government has only said it will reduce current prices. "We must continue to occupy Nigeria". Says the NLC representatives.

NLC Nationwide Strike Receives Massive Supports From Nigerians

Just after the federal Government of Nigeria announced the removal of fuel subsidy, there has been massive protest following the nationwide Strike declared by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) which took off on Monday 9th January. The protest has been tagged “Occupy Nigeria”. This kind of protest looks like first of its kind in Nigeria as people from all walks of life ranging from Lawyers, Doctors, Civil servants, Politicians, Traders, Teachers and others take time off work to say no to the removal of fuel subsidy. So far, the protest has been successful in Lagos and other places across the nation though there have been records of killings of protesters by the members of the harm forces.

“There’s something called an appointed time. We are here today on this podium to announce to our children and rulers that the appointed time has arrived. There’s no going back. With the power of the Almighty with us, we are taking over our nation and the entire black race and freeing ourselves,” This was the speech of a 76-year old politician activist, Dr. Tunji Braithwaite at the protest rally in Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos.

Addressing the protesters, Kataphs said the struggle must continue until the price of petrol is reversed to N65 a litre.

Chanting war songs, the protesters called on President Goodluck Jonathan to resign as they claimed he was no longer in control of affairs in the country.
After chanting labour solidarity songs for over an hour, Kataphs directed them to go back to their houses and re-group at 8 a.m. tomorrow for continuation of the protest.
